Filemaker Updates Developer Cert


1/25/2006 -- Apple subsidiary Filemaker announced today that it has updated its certification program for Filemaker 8.

To become a Filemaker 8 Certified Developer, candidates are required to pass one exam: "Developer Essentials for FileMaker 8." The exam, available at Prometric testing centers worldwide for $150 (U.S.), features 60 multiple-choice questions and a 90-minute time limit.

Major topics covered on the exam include data integration technologies: XML/XSLT/xDBC, networking technologies, Web basics and architecture, the company said. Optional training is available.
