SANS Launching Advanced Wireless Cert
10/11/2005 -- The SANS Institute's GIAC certification program has announced that it will soon launch a new advanced-level wireless security certification: GIAC Assessing Wireless Networks (GAWN).
The title's one online exam will cover a variety of topics, including both the hardware behind wireless networks as well as security threats and solutions for networks.
The program labels the title as a level-six exam, which is the highest difficulty level of the credentials it offers.
While information on the new title is has yet to appear on the organization's Web site, it is being offered in conjunction with a six-day training course offered at the upcoming SANS Network Security conference in Los Angeles. More information on the track can be found here. -Becky Nagel
