Cisco To Drop CCIE Recert Exams

5/21/2003 -- Cisco Systems recently announced a change in its recertification policy for CCIEs.

Starting June 15, 2003, the company will stop offering specific recertification exams. Instead, candidates will be able to recertify by passing any currently available written CCIE exam. According to the company, 10 different written exams are currently available.

Candidates who specialize in Dial technologies will be able to take the Recertification Access test (350-008) through July 2003. The content of that exam will eventually surface in the new version of the Communications & Services Dial exam.
