Linux+ Now Live, i-Net+ Beta Dates Announced


9/26/2001 -- The Computer Technology Industry Association's new Linux+ certification went live Sept. 21.

The vendor-neutral, entry-level title is aimed at those with around six-months experience using Linux.

Linux+ consists of one 95-question multiple choice exam, with a pass rate of 655 on a scale of 100 to 900. Candidates can register for the exam through Vue or Prometric. The exam costs $190 (U.S.) for non-CompTIA members.

In other CompTIA news, the organization has announced beta dates for its upcoming I-Net+ revision. The beta exam will be available beginning Oct. 29 and will last through early 2002. For more about this beta, click here.  -B.N.
