Sun Offers Free Solaris Security Beta, Free Retakes for Exams
7/12/2006 -- Sun Microsystems recently announced a free beta for its upcoming Sun Certified Security Administrator for the Solaris 10 Operating System exam.
Registration is now open for the beta, although testing will not begin until July 17. The beta will run through July 28.
Candidates can register for the beta (#311-303) through Prometric testing centers worldwide. Unlike other Sun exams, this beta does not require candidates to obtain a voucher first.
Those who pass the beta will receive credit toward certification.

In other Sun news, the company is currently offering free retakes for many of its certification exams.
To qualify, the voucher for the original exam must be purchased using the priority code WW46CXR by Aug. 15. The retake must be taken by August 2007.
Most all of Sun's certification exams qualify under this promotion. It is valid worldwide.
