DESCRIPTION:      Highest level of Cisco certification. Candidates select and prepare for one CCIE certification track, and must then pass a qualification exam as well as a one-day, hands-on lab.

TRACK NOTES:      Tracks are: Routing and Switching, Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking and Voice.

# OF EXAMS:      2 -- one qualification exam ($300), one hands-on lab ($1,250).

EXAMS:
     For more info, click here. Qualification exams are available at Prometric and Pearson Vue. Lab exam must be taken at a Cisco facility.

FAIL/RETAKE

     Candidates retaking a failed written exam must wait 5 days. Must wait 6 months to retake passed written exam.
