Cisco Offering Five $50 Beta Exams in April

4/2/2003 -- Cisco Systems has revamped five of its certification exams and is currently testing them through a discount beta exam program.

Three of the betas are currently live. They are:

  • 643-641 QoS (available through April 10)
  • 643-821 BCRAN (available through April 15)
  • 643-811 BCMSN (available through April 18)

Betas of 643-831 CIT and 643-801 BSCI will launch April 7. The CIT beta is scheduled to end on April 25. The BSCI beta will end May 10.

The betas are available for $50 (U.S.) at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide -- $75 off the normal price of $125 (US). Passing a beta gives you credit toward certification.

Two other betas Cisco was conducting -- 641-871 ARCH and 641-661 BGP -- closed on March 31. Cisco did not state when the final versions of any of these exams will go live.
