1/2/02: Anonymous says: This is sick they bust down cheet-sheets and troytec to then raise the prices on the exams. I guess these guys have faith the the economy will swing back strong if not people will look for other avenues on the certification path....wow they really, really got a set for this stunt, a rather big set!!!!
1/2/02: kolawole says: please i will like to be receiving your monthly magagine through this postal address p.o.box 17293 ikeja lagos nigeria. thank you
1/2/02: Leo says: Like ojo we would appreciate your mag. My po.box is 67702 Nairobi, Kenya.
1/2/02: alab says: I think given the huge increases in price by other vendors like Microsft and Cisco (over 25%), Comptia's price increase is negligible (around 6.5% or so). Also, unlike other vendor certification "tracks" like MCSE and CNE, you dont have to take many exams to get certified. I know its difficult, but the increase seems fair to me.
1/2/02: Jeff says: You have got to be kidding me. Well I had planned on taking the Linux plus and Server plus exams, but you can throw that out the window. I also have a comptia professional membership they had better send me vouchers or I am cancelling my membership. I guess I am off to take the SAIR Linux tests
1/2/02: Anonymous says: Why stop at $199? These things are easily worth $299. Do I hear $499? This is ridiculous!
1/2/02: skeeter says: Give me a break, you were going pay $190, but now that its $10 more you are not going to take the test? ya me too, Im not taking my Microsoft or Cisco tests since they raised the prices as well.
1/2/02: Anonymous says: well...with all this in mind....I would definitley get trainged and educated at a place where I would have my best odds of passing the first time because of the increasing exams costs.....any recommendations?
1/2/02: Anonymous says: The exams should be free.
1/2/02: Pope says: It does seem fairly ridiculous that they're raising the prices. The A+ certification isn't worth much anymore and if you have to pay $278 for it, people are really gonna start questioning how much they need it on their resume. Microsoft did a price increase too, but after four years. CompTIA is starting a yearly increase. So glad I'm allready certified...
