I don't think this exam is worth obtaining because Becky forgot to mentioned the experience requirement on IT security to apply for the exam. It's better to go for the MSCE security, or Cisco CCSP or CheckPoint certification which they have training schools or cert books and other training materials to study for these exams |

I disagree with Jason - the CISSP is still one of the more readily accepted security cert because - having been on the job market looking for a security management postion it seems that the CISSP is the most requested cert as a job reuirement - |

Your opinion David, but I went to CISSP site and it mentions a 4 year on the job requirement in IT Security to apply for the exam. Too much! Employers today are too damn picky and selective in the kind of experience, or degrees and certs for the new IT position openings. I don't like it and not too many applicants have their listed requirements posted on openings. I know IT security is a growing field with software and hardware firewalls (Checkpoint, Proxy and ISA Server) but the other certs I mentions give the opportunity for others with less experience in the security field to study, learn and practice for these exam certifications |

The downside to the MCSE:Security is that Microsoft and Security do NOT go hand in hand, and most IT professionals know that. I have the MCSE:Security, and it's a joke. I'm working on CheckPoint right now, but the downside to that one is that since it's an Israeli product, it can never be used by the government, and a lot of larger IT departments use the government as a layout example. Now on to the CCSP. This is five exams which will easily occupy your studying time for at least a year. The CISSP is regarded as the highest security exam out there. For most people it takes about six months of studying. Hmm, six months vs. over a year. Pretty easy decision. |

it Look like Business Certification. I think objective of good Certification will create for improve empolyee performance and knowlage of employee. Why ISC2 not decrease price of certificate and publish to PROMESTRIC and VUE, it will be a good way. CCSP is not importance in my country. Knowlage and Experience is better |

The exam is worth taking even if there is a rise in the fee. My only concern is would be "Paper CISSPs", beware of these guys !! |
