I find linux very appealing. I would be in the first ( few maybe) to be happy they give us a chance to certifie. I dislike stuburn people who only think of cert as a way to gain something, cert yourself if you want to be sure you know all the good stuff, be sure of your talent and then ask for a chance to have a desktop linux. True, linux is not realy present on desktop users, its in part because we cant all support them, linux being different from the other OS. Be sure that the wave will come or die. All of you who claim that fortune 500 companies are not using Linux are about as clueless as Wiley coyote on a Emu farm! I work for a fortune 500 Co and we are running Linux boxes for user data storage, etc. There are MANY fortune 500 Co's(burlington coat factory for one) ,etc that use Linux for a plethora of apps including NAS, DB servers, etc. I get so sick of you newbie GUI junkies that worship MS and think the only server platform has to cost 1000 bux for 10 client connections and have a start button. Get a life! Take the time to learn an Uber OS that was not created for ignorant end users but rather for REAL IT pro's and developers......'nough said! |

I know of several companies that use Linux on the desktop in programming....and I've heard that Siemens uses Desktop Linux Used linux since 91 eh? Side by side with Linus no doubt. Unfortunately, you never learned how to spell. |
