IBM Announces 3 Free Lotus Betas

7/9/2003 -- Earlier this week IBM announced three free betas for its Lotus certification program.

The first, Notes Domino 6: Configuring Domino Web Servers (exam #623), counts towards the program's Principal CLP Notes and Domino 6 System Administrator title. Those who pass the exam will receive credit toward certification, as long as they already hold the corresponding CLP title, the company said. More information about this exam can be found here.

The other two betas, Notes Domino 6: Developing Web Applications (exam #612) and Notes Domino 6: Managing Servers and Users (exam #632), apply toward the CLP Application Developer and CLP System Administrator titles. More information on these exams can be found here.

The betas are currently available for free through Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide; candidates must register by phone. The company did not say when the beta periods would end or when the final versions of the exams will go live.

7/9/03: Chrystoph says: I have taken the "Servers and Users" exam. Unlike a lot of betas, they will tell you if you pass (80% or better) or fail (50% or less). If you fall in between, they will contact you. The tests so far are set for 75% when they go live. THe tests are 90 questions or better for betas with the Lotus standard of forty for the live versions.
7/9/03: Eren says: It' s written free but still "anonymous" write "mo'money".Idiot!!!
