Final Oracle 9i DBA Exam To Launch in Sept.

8/7/2002 -- Oracle announced recently that its DBA 9i Performance Tuning exam will launch in September.

It is the last exam in Oracle's new 9i DBA track to go live. The exam was delayed by an extended beta schedule, which concluded last mont. According to Oracle, beta exam results will be mailed in early September.

To become an Oracle 9i DBA, candidates must pass four exams -- two at the Associate level, and two at the Administrator level (including Performance Tuning). After Sept. 1, most new candidates will also be required to take an instructor-led course from Oracle University.

More information about Oracle's 9i DBA program can be found here. -B.N.
