Cisco Hikes Exam Fees 25 Percent

10/31/2001 -- Cisco announced last week that it will be raising the price of its core certification exams in North America. Starting tomorrow, Nov. 1, all exams that used to cost $100 (i.e., those starting with numbers "640" and "9E0") will now cost $125 (U.S.). Also, the Foundations exam (640-509) -- which is a "combo" exam for the company's CCNP and CCDP titles --- will now cost $250 instead of $200.

This is the second price hike that Cisco has announced this year. In March, the company raised the price of its CCIE qualification and lab exams.
