Cisco Hikes Exam Fees 25 Percent

10/31/2001 -- Cisco announced last week that it will be raising the price of its core certification exams in North America. Starting tomorrow, Nov. 1, all exams that used to cost $100 (i.e., those starting with numbers "640" and "9E0") will now cost $125 (U.S.). Also, the Foundations exam (640-509) -- which is a "combo" exam for the company's CCNP and CCDP titles --- will now cost $250 instead of $200.

This is the second price hike that Cisco has announced this year. In March, the company raised the price of its CCIE qualification and lab exams.

10/31/01: Sean says: If all you make is $55k with a CCNP, you must live in West Virginia, Arkansas or local to some trailer park. In the DC area, people with CCNP can pull $80+ a year.
10/31/01: Anonymous says: Why is it that the people wanting to get certified always get f*!#ked
10/31/01: Anonymous says: If you order your exam before midnight on Vue.com (Halloween), you still pay $100 for all 640-XXX exams except 640-509 which is $200. After midnight, $200 for all 640-XXX exams except 640-509 which will be $250. Apply now. You can reschedule later.
