First XP MOUS Exams Go Live


10/3/2001 -- Nivo International, the organization that runs the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) program for Microsoft, informed CertCities.com yesterday that its Word and Excel XP exams have gone live.

While no information is as yet available on the Microsoft Web site, Nivo said that the Core and Expert exams for both applications are now live and available at testing centers worldwide.

Beta testers who passed the test versions of these exams should be receiving their certificates soon, Nivo said.

No word was given on the status of other XP-related MOUS exams, although ones for Access, PowerPoint and Outlook are expected. -B.N.

11/27/01: Anonymous says: XP? I just passed the Word Expert 2000. Geeze... We need to get the exam so I can pass that one!
4/21/02: Anonymous says: These questions no way symbolize what you experience when taking the real test. All MOUS tests are problem tests, not multiple choice. The problem exists in finding sites that give sample problem tests.
4/27/04: Anonymous says: Try CertiPort or MeasureUp. Their practice tests are skills based and are close to the real thing.
