Hi Leung -- CompTIA certifications NEVER expire --you're certified for life :-) |

Will you need different books to study from? Are the requirements changing that much. (A+ is taking a long time to get the newest books out for studing.) Most bookstores are still selling the old books for the A+, will this happen to N+ also? |

Anonymous -- it's supposed to be only a 15% change, so it's not as significant as the A+ revamp. When are you planning on taking Net+? If it's anytime before the end of this year, I think you'd be fine. |

The Network+ qualification is practically worthless anyway. Admittedly I am not new to networking but even so I took the test last September and only got one question wrong (due to a badly worded question). If you are looking for certification to reinforce your knowledge of network technologies, Network+ is NOT for you. |

I am taking this exam within weeks but I am worried of the fact that I have to get 82%?? I think that is little too high for passing score don't you think?.. are questions that easy? |

I am considering purchasing Network+ studying materials such as CBT CD's and books. But should I wait for up-to-date information or just go ahead and purchase these materials. Some of these CBT CD's are a pretty expensive. I don't want to prepare for four months or whatever with old info, when the new test will be in three months or sooner. |

I wouldn't say the N+ certification is worthless, but it is not well known. When you talk to others (like your boss or in describing it in an interview) be sure to tell a little about the certification and to what level it tests your skills. |

The Network+ is definitly not a worthless exam. Just the fact that it's by CompTIA and they don't make you take the test every year and pay a $50-$400 fee is a blessing in itself. And it's good for new networkers who are looking to certify there skills. |
