Server+ Update Coming

2/4/2004 -- The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) announced today that it will be updating its Server+ title.

According to CompTIA, the new version of the exam will launch sometime in the fourth quarter of 2004.

Objectives for the new exam are scheduled to be released within the next month on CompTIA's Web site. This is the first upgrade of the exam since its launch three years ago.

The planned upgrade will not effect those already holding Server+, as the certification does not need to be renewed.

CertCities.com will bring you more on this story as information becomes available. -Becky Nagel

2/11/04: MCSEMOM says: I'm very glad to see that COMPTIA is upgrading and updating their exams on a regular basis. Having previous been an SME for the CTT exam, I know that their goal is NOT to mislead but get a good all around perspective of what is required by a candidate to perform his or her duties. Keep up the great work COMPTIA and Certcities.
2/11/04: CertPRO says: To the ONE guy who keeps making the ignorant posts (ignorant=that means not to smart, in case you were wondering)You must be one of those sore losers who thought this stuff was easy yet keeps failing. Go back to your playstation. As for the Server update, I think its time for an update, to stay up to date with the current technology.
2/12/04: Anonymous says: I love that one CertPRO! Instead of referring these "kids" back to McDonalds, they really need to return their Playstations! LOL
