Citrix Updating CCA XP Exam

5/14/2003 -- Citrix confirmed to CertCities.com earlier this month that it's revamping its Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) exam Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Windows (220).

The new exam, 221, will enter beta testing on Friday.

"220 is MetaFrame XP without Feature Release," said a Citrix spokesperson when asked how the content will differ between the two exams. "In other words, this exam covers only the components that were released when the product was first launched. Exam 221 will be MetaFrame XP with Feature Release 1, 2 and 3. This exam covers all of the details included in exam 220 and goes beyond by focusing on the updated features that came after MetaFrame XP was released to manufacture."

According to the spokesperson, once the beta analysis is complete, both versions will be available simultaneously for one month, then 221 will permanently replace 220.

The spokesperson did not say when the exam would go live. Details about participating in the beta were not immediately available on Citrix's Web site, and the 221 exam has yet to appear on the site's list of exams.

5/15/03: Anonymous says: Maybe he doesn't even have a job or anything more important to do than posting that rubbish forst time on every news posted in certcities.com. Pity him but what else can he do? He has no life. At least I have to study this CCA faster to sit for 220 without having to buy more materials.
5/15/03: Anonymous says: For those of us doing the job for real, having the Feature Releases in the exam is good - it is a pain trying to remember/find out how things looked or worked before applying the Feature Releases. Should slow the brain-dump brigade for a few weeks - perhaps that's why the idiot at the top says "mo'money" - his brain-dump will fail his first attempt, and he will have to wait for an updated dump and re-take!
5/15/03: Anonymous says: Oh yeah of course mo'money, life always needs money, so what? I got some, have no problem with spending mo'money for certs. What's your problem? Oh..oh..you don't have one huh? Go get a job, get a life, and stop annoying this forum! You won't get mo'money from here!
5/19/03: Rockapot from Surrey, UK says: Quick question, is the beta exam free?
5/19/03: cj from st. louis says: I hope the beta's free. I'm taking the Windows 2000 Server with the refreshed questions for free. It would be a real coup If I could get my CCA for free too.
5/20/03: Anonymous says: Mo' Money was gored in the a$$ while running with the bulls.
5/20/03: Anonymous says: i hope the beta will be $50 or more so that i can contribute to the development of the new cca exam...i agree, mo'money better go blow a goat...
7/15/03: Mike from New Zealand says: what a load of shite. Good idea to have FR stuff in the exams, as this may make them harder ? they are too easy at the moment !
8/6/03: Anonymous says: Can any one please let me know the chapters covered for 1Y0-221 exam...
