Some people say "Novell is dead", it isn't... but don't waste your time with Novell. MCSE2000, MCSA and CCNA are nothing but if you don't have those certs... you are an IT-loser. |

Novell may not be dead, but it is dying. Soon it will be just a faded memory. Within the past year, Novell has cut its workforce world wide and its stock is under five dollars a share. If you look at any large network that uses Novell, you will also see a large amount of NT servers because Novell can’t not provide full network solution. |

I think Novell is far from dead! With the release of NetWare 6.0 and some if it's features which make it compatible with virtually any platform, I think it's going to continue to grow. Novell started IT certification, and their certs are recognized in the industry. I am currently pursuing my MasterCNE in NetWare 5.1, and will do the upgrade to 6 exam. Netware's exams (and classes) are good, not only for their products, but for overall networking knowledge. I plan on getting MCSA(maybe even MCSE) in Win2K and my CCNA, and to be able to provide network support in a multi-vendor atmosphere. I think it sucks that they're hiking up there exam fees, but inflation is a b¡tch... guess I'll just have to buy a handful of vouchers now... |

Novell is a good certification to have. Since it is one of the most robust network systems available it will not die. Not all companies need to be dominant to survive. NT can't compare to NDS in any way. Novell has cut its workforce due to the slowdown of our economy, not due to Novells weaknesses. Too many people have MCSE's anymore and to be different is good, it never hurts to be Novell, MS and Cisco certified..besides most companies anymore that know anything about IT would use multiple systems for multiple purposes and intergrate them..Netware 6! Does Active Directory do that? Not at all.. |

Yep, that's why I am trying to get my CNE 6.0 cause i'm currently a Netware 5 CNE. Yes, it does help if your a CNE to go a long with a MCSE and CCNA or better- CCNP! |

Yeah, everybody, keep getting those CNE's, they will be worth a lot on ebay in the next few years, when Active Directory keeps taking over NDS. ha ha ha |
