Time Running Out for Intel Pros To Transfer Cert

6/27/2001 -- If you're Intel-certified, you have until Saturday to transfer your title to Intel's replacement certifications.

Intel announced in April that it would be discontinuing its certification program at the end of this year. The company has offered to transfer candidates into vendor-neutral certifications offered by the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) and ProsoftTraining.com.

The deadline to apply for the transfer is June 30. According to Intel, those who do not register by this date will not be transferred.

Candidates can apply for the transfer through Intel's certification Web site. -B.N.
