3/2/2006 -- Cisco Systems announced Tuesday it will begin offering Cisco certification-related merchandise on Cisco Marketplace, the company's online store.

Among the first products available at the new Certification Corner, Cisco-certified IT professionals can now deck themselves out in either Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional-level T-shirts, according to Cisco's certification Web site.

The Cisco Systems logo is imprinted on the left chest and on the T-shirt's back are the words "enlightenment" and the logo of the particular certification (e.g., "CCNA"). The exclusive, black shirts come in sizes small through 3X, ranging in price from $7.99 to $11.99, and are made of "luxuriously soft 100 percent ringspun cotton" and also feature "double-needle stitching" and "shoulder-to-shoulder taping." TCPmag.com was unable to verify these details, however, as an evaluation model has not been made available for review.

Though the shirts were created for Cisco professionals to display their "certification achievements publicly and proudly," it appears any user with a Cisco.com account can login to Cisco Marketplace to view the T-shirt and proceed to purchase one -- or more.
