1/12/2005 -- Both IBM and Macromedia have recently announced discount exam prices for those seeking to update their certifications.

IBM is allowing those certified as On Demand Business Solutions Advisors to upgrade their certification using the new exam, #816, for half of the regular price. The exam must be taken by the end of January. To apply for this discount, participants must e-mail the program at [email protected] to receive a promotion code.

Macromedia's promotion applies to everyone upgrading a Macromedia certification, the company's Web site states. It is offering candidates 25 percent off the price of the new exam. To apply for this discount, candidates can call Pearson Vue testing centers or e-mail [email protected]. There is no deadline to apply for this promotion, the company said.

Last week, ProsoftTraining.com announced a discount for those upgrading their CIW Associate certifications.
