8/21/2001 -- Intel-certified professionals interested in transferring their soon-to-be-defunct title to a related CompTIA and/or ProsoftTraining.com certification have until this Friday to apply for the process.

Intel announced in April that it would be disbanding its certification program, and transferring those Intel certified into Prosoft's Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) program and CompTIA's Server+/Network+ certification, depending on the Intel certification earned.

Intel is continuing to offer training classes, and will honor the benefits of those certified through the end of the year.
