I applied for a position of Jr Unix Administrator in Atlanta. The company wants to give me a two hour written test about CISCO, Perl, Unix, Networkin, Windows, and Shell Scripting. I am noy sure about taking the test because I am not too good in scripting and perl. I know some Java but no scriptng. What do you think people?

What is the question you are asking? I think that if you do better than everyone else on the exam, interview well, and have reasonable salary expectations, they'll hire you for the position.

It seems that your applying though a temp or placement agency. The test is over kill for the job your trying to get. I'm a Sr Sun UNIX administrator and I don't know CISCO,or Perl, and have weak shell scripting.

Make sure you look at the date of the post, Anton... that job listing was 10 months ago... they've probably got it all sorted by now...
