IBM Updates eServer Advanced Technical Expert Cert

1/17/2006 -- IBM recently announced that it is updating its Advanced Technical Expert, IBM System eServer pSeries and AIX 5L certification to a new title: IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert, IBM System p5 2006.

The new designation will require candidates to pass four exams: two required and two electives. Exams for the title, including two electives, are currently available at Prometric and Pearson Vue testing centers worldwide. According to IBM, more electives will be released within the next 12 months.

Exams for the previous version will be retired during the same time frame.
