8/24/2005 -- To celebrate the first anniversary of the Zend PHP certification program, Zend Technologies is offering discounts on its Zend Certified Engineer (ZCE) exam and related training through the end of August.

Any candidate can currently purchase a ZCE voucher from Zend for $125, $75 off the normal price of $200. Those who purchase Zend Studio 4 can get the voucher for $100.

The vouchers expire six months from date of purchase, said Dhwani Vahia, education programs manager for Zend.

The company has also temporarily dropped the price of its optional online training course for the exam from $599 to $499 as part of this promotion.

According to the company, more than 600 PHP developers worldwide have become ZCEs.
