Citrix Takes New CCA Structure Live
8/1/2005 -- Citrix Systems announced today that its new two-track, product-specific structure for its Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) title is now live.
Instead of offering one CCA title for the entire Access Suite 4.0, candidates can now choose between a Presentation Server 4.0 track and a Password Manager 4.0 track.
The company said the separate offerings reflect input from candidates who "want to take CCA certification but currently administer one, specific Citrix product."
"Restructuring the CCA certification broadens our ability to to certify more individuals," said Karl Leibman, senior director of consulting and education at Citrix. "This significant change in our training program enhances learning and provides important cost-benefits to our customers," citing the reduced cost of optional training by focusing on one product.
The higher-level Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) designation remains focused on the entire Access Suite.
Citrix unveiled the new structure in May.
