CWNA Exam Gets Update

7/27/2005 -- Earlier this month Planet3Wireless announced it has released an update its Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) exam.

The new exam (#PW0-100) now covers 802.11 standards, wireless switches and WPA, among other technologies. Detailed objectives can be found here.

The exam consists of 60 questions, with a 90-minute time limit and a 70-percent pass rate. It is available for $175 (U.S.) at Prometric testing centers worldwide.

The previous version of the exam has already been retired, the company said.

The CWNA is one several levels of vendor-neutral Certified Network Wireless Professional designations currently offered by the company. A new Certified Wireless Network Engineer title is expected to debut sometime this year.
