Juniper Announces New SSL Track

5/4/2005 -- Juniper Networks introduced last week a new SSL track into its certification program. This comes in addition to the J-series enterprise routing and intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) tracks the company announced in March.

“[The new certification tracks] allow Juniper partners, customers and internal staff to exhibit their proficiency in these product lines,” said Robert Sturgeon, vice president of Customer Services at Juniper Networks.

The three tracks will launch as entry-level Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) titles, with Specialist exams planned for the SSL and IDP tracks in the second half of this year. Candidates can sign up for the JNCIA-IDP exam now, but the JNCIA-J and JNCIA-SSL tracks will be available May 9 and May 23, respectively.

Exams are administered at Prometric testing centers worldwide and cost $125 (U.S.) each.

Juniper’s certification program has awarded more than 5,000 certifications to date. -Dan Hong
