Microsoft Debuts New Hands-On Questions, Posts Demo
4/4/2005 -- As expected, last week Microsoft added hands-on simulation questions to live versions of two of its 2003-track certification exams.
The exams are:
- 70-290, Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment
- 70-291, Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
Both exams are core requirements for the company's Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) titles.
Microsoft announced in February that it would be seeding hands-on simulation questions into these exams, with others to follow. According to MCPmag.com, Microsoft exams 70-293, Planning and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure, and 70-294, Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure, will be seeded with hands-on questions in June, and a schedule of other exams to follow will be posted later this month.
Microsoft orginally said it would post a demo of the new simulation questions in early March. However, the demo only recently went live on Microsoft's Web site, here (scroll down to the orange button in middle of page to access). The demo lasts about five minutes and has one sample hands-on question.
