3/23/2001 -- Last week ProsoftTraining.com announced the availability of self-study products for its Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certification.

According to the Prosoft Web site, the materials -- bundled packages of manuals, exam guides and interactive CD-ROMS, among other offerings -- are available for the foundation level of its certification, as well as the Master CIW Administrator and Master CIW Designer series and tracks. The guides are being published under Prosoft's ComputerPREP 2GO brand.

"The majority of candidates for mature certification programs such as MCSE and A+ prepare for exams using self-study methods," Jerry Baird, chairman and CEO of ProsoftTraining.com, said in a printed statement. "Today’s announcement of the Official CIW self-study solution responds to that demand and extends accessibility of CIW to a whole new set of candidates."

Prices for the packages range from $395 to $995, according to the ComputerPrep.com Web site.

According to Prosoft, the "official" CIW curriculum, designed for use in a classroom learning enviornment, remains available only through official CIW training courses.
