New CCIE Storage, Metro Exams Coming in March
2/22/2005 -- March 17 will be a busy day for Cisco's Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) program.
On that date, the company will release a new Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Storage Networking written exam (350-040). It will also open phone registration for the new CCIE Network Storage lab exam.
The company announced the new CCIE Network Storage track in October. The title is designed to certify a candidate’s “expert-level knowledge in intelligent storage solutions over extended network infrastructure using multiple transport options such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCIP and FICON,” the company said at the time.
Also on March 17, Cisco will debut a new CCIE Service Provider, Metro Ethernet written exam, which qualifies candidates to take the CCIE Service Provider lab exam.
The Cisco CCIE written exams are available at Prometric and Pearson Vue testing centers worldwide for $300 (U.S.). The full-day, hands-on lab exams are available at select Cisco testing locations worldwide and cost $1,250 (U.S.).
