1/4/2005 -- Earlier this week Novell announced a free beta for a new NetWare 6.5 exam: Novell Network Management.

The beta (#051-690) will be open through Friday and is limited to 200 candidates worldwide (100 each through Pearson Vue and Prometric). According to Novell, those interested in participating should call Prometric or Pearson Vue to register.

Those who pass the beta will be given credit toward certification. A live date for the new exam has not been announced.

While Novell has not announced a 6.5 track for its Certified Network Engineer (CNE) credential, late last year it released a 6.5 exam for its entry-level Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) certification.
