Linux+ Beta Debuts


10/13/2004 -- A new version of the Computing Technology Industry Association's (CompTIA's) Linux+ exam is now available in beta format.

CompTIA announced the update of its entry-level Linux title in June, describing it as a "major" upgrade. Detailed objectives are available for download here.

The beta version of the update (Exam #XK1-002) is currently available through Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide for the discounted price of $75 (U.S.).

An official release date for the live version of this update has yet to be announced.
