FileMaker Launches Developer Cert

8/18/2004 -- FileMaker, a subsidiary of Apple, today announced a new certification program for its flagship database product. The title is aimed at the 60,000 advanced FileMaker developers worldwide, the company said.

The certification is focused on the recently launched FileMaker 7. To become certified, candidates must pass one multiple-choice, 60-question exam: Developer Essentials for FileMaker 7. Those who pass will be awarded the title of FileMaker 7 Certified Developer.

The exam is available at Prometric testing centers worldwide. Optional training is available from FileMaker.

According to the database software provider, there are already 50 FileMaker Certified Developers around the world.
