Juniper Unveils NetScreen Certification Transition
7/21/2004 -- Juniper Networks recently announced how it will incorporate the NetScreen certifications into its certification program, following its acquisition of the company in February.
According to its Web site, Juniper is renaming the NetScreen Certified Security Associate, NetScreen Certified Security Professional and NetScreen Certified IDP Associate titles to Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-FWV), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS-FWV) and Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-IDP), respectively.
The company also said that JNCIA-FWV is no longer a prerequisite for the JNCIS-FWV.
The titles are now part of its newly named NetScreen Firewall/VPN Certification Track.
The name changes come on the heels of an announcement that Juniper will update a number of exams on Oct. 1, as well as reduce the number of exams needed for some of these certifications.
