Cisco Certification Overview

2/6/2001 -- This really isn't "news" per say, but for those of you who've heard about Cisco certification but aren't quite sure what it's all about, there's an article that might help.

TCPmag.com, our sister site, is running an article explaining the Cisco certification structure. Written by Timothy Warner, it details the various levels of certification Cisco offers, how each works and offers tips for selecting the right path.

You can find the article at http://www.tcpmag.com/column.asp?id=GEN&cid=0. -B.N.

2/8/01: Edward says: I completed Cisco I and went almost all the way hrough Cisco II @ Community College of Aurora , Co.,in 1999-2000. In the Cisco II, out of twenty-eight students starting only 13 students completed this second semester. We had four different instructors in six weeks, and many students who paid over $400.00 to take this course, got burned really bad by the poor job this college did, not only for the students, but also as a college representing and promoting Cisco. I plan to pick up where I left off @ Arapahoe Community College in Littleton,Co., being that that they do an excellent job of prepairing students with the tools to start in a new career. Thank you for your time, but I believe Cisco should be aware that some colleges are doing a very poor job in representing Cisco.
