1/31/2001 -- IBM announced last week that it will offer free certification exams at WebSphere 2001, an IBM conference to be held March 12 through 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Attendees can take one of the following certification exams for free:

• Test 405 (407), IBM WebSphere Studio, V3.5
• Test 406 (408), IBM WebSphere Application Server, Standard Edition, V3.5
• Test 498, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Advanced Edition, V3.5
• Test 409 (499), Administration for IBM WebSphere Application Server, Advanced Edition, V3.5
• Test 496, IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite V4.1 Implementation
• Test 497, IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite V4.1 Customization
• Test 282, IBM VisualAge for Java, Professional Edition, V3
• Test 486 (404), Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML
• Test 483, Enterprise Connectivity (with J2EE)
• Test 810, Selling IBM e-business Solutions
• Test 811, Designing IBM e-business Solutions
• Test 812, e-business core knowledge

Registration for these exams will take place at the conference on a first-come, firs-serve basis. Candidates who wish to take more than one exam can sign up for additional exams at a price of $50 each.
