i don't think 2003 is going to work so well and by the way! by chance if it does....:( it will take years to get upgraded!!! so i am working with 2000 and wish 2000 keeps it's marked till it dosen't find a real compactter. and yaa i am doing MCSE so wish me best of luck. :)... |

If you have software assurance on your 2000, you get 2003 at no charge. If you buy new 2000 licenses, you get 2003 (but can downgrade) - for those who waited on NT4 because it worked... 2003 is a GREAT upgrade. |

The upgrade path from Win2K MCSA or MCSE is a fairly short path, so anyone who has Win2K certs only need do a 2 or 5 day upgrade course. |

Well, in my humble opinion, it has been my vantage point that the newer OS's and Applications are usually what we end up using. I am impressed that my 2003 Server (which MS has given me two copies of thus far for free) are working quite nicely. One is on the Internet and standing quite proud. I've been trying very hard to penetrate it using some of the common tools and it appears to be quite worthy. I even noted that the Microsoft Services for Unix won an award at the Linux World Conference. Hell, one of the Linux magazines even touted it as being secure and IIS 6.0 as being faster as every implementation of Apache with the possible exception of TUX. Wake up people... If you want to stay in the Dark Ages, so be it. But if you need an MCSE on Windows 2003, then I'll be among teh first. Betas are in progress. And yes, I'm somewhat qualified to speak out on security, I even teach pen-testing and write internal Security Papers on the subject. So holes may yet open and most surely will. This version is quite nice and is most assuredly an upgrade to Windows 2000. [email protected] Good Luck with your endeavors... |

2003 Rocks in terms of security, fault tolerance, and performance. I just finished a 3-day 2003 Server boot camp (to learn, not to certify) and came away very impressed. I am halfway through kmy W2k MCSE and will definitely pursue the W2k3 MCSE. |

Wish MCSE Server 2003 books were available in India. No Books in market so far. Server 2003 is great till LOnghurn server comes out in 2005. IF it supports opteron and AMD 64 ,we will love it but not then hate it. Itanium-has anyone seen one working? |
