MySQL Launches Professional Beta, Discount Vouchers
5/14/2003 -- Earlier this month open-source database provider MySQL announced the beta launch of its upcoming Professional-level certification exam.
Those who wish to take the beta can do so at Pearson Vue testing centers worldwide for $150 (U.S.). The price of the exam will be $200 when live, MySQL said.
Professional is the second level of certification in MySQL's program to go live since its debut in March. The entry-level Core exam is required before candidates can achieve the Professional title.
MySQL is currently offering discount vouchers for both certification exams through its Web site here.

Been there, done that. If anyone thinks MySQL is just a toy, you haven't been to this exam. Studying for and taking this exam was really an eye-opener for me. |

$200 for a MySQL test ? no way. $50, yeah i think id go after it, but still, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2 are all much more impressive than this. Hell, even PostgeSQL is. |

I guess you didn't go to the site! It is $225 for core and professional exams and $125 per individual exam. Isn't MySQL the leading in most popular database? |
