IBM Updates DB2 Certs; Offers Free Exams, Discounts

4/2/2003 -- Last month IBM announced updated versions of its DB2 certification exams.

The 8.1 exams are available for all levels of IBM's DB2 certifications. They are:

IBM Certified Database Associate
IBM Certified Database Administrator
IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator
IBM Certified Application Developer
IBM Certified Solution Designer

As part of the launch, the company has announced several promotions, including a number of discount testing opportunities. As previously announced, IBM is offering discounted vouchers for candidates upgrading their titles from earlier versions. IBM will also be offering free exams at the upcoming International DB2 Users Group conference in May. And registrants for the developerWorks Live show can also get a free exam voucher.

The company also announced the availability of six free online tutorials (registration required).

IBM exams are available at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide.
