CWNA Exam Price Hike

11/13/2002 -- Planet3Wireless recently raised the price of its Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) exam from $150 to $175 U.S.

The company did not give a reason for the price increase, but did say that the number of questions on the exams has risen as well -- from 60 to 90. Candidates will now be given 90 minutes to complete the exam.

To become a CWNA, candidates must pass this one exam, available at Prometric Testing Centers. Exams for higher levels of Planet3Wireless' certification program have yet to debut. -B.N.

1/5/03: Anonymous says: exam cost is too much. Pl. cut the price to $100 - $125, like MS or cisco
1/8/03: Hussain from Dubai - U.A.E says: Exam cost also too much and 90 Min to answer 91 question is very difficult.Should be extended to atleast 2 hours to answer the Q patiently.
1/19/03: Mike from US says: The raise in price only matters if you are registering on an individual basis, and not using a voucher which are typically available and cost less. Also, a high price can work to your advantage, by making the test inaccesible to some because of the cost, leading to the people who are certified being harder to find. The time constraint also makes it harder to pass, which maintains the integrity of the exam. I plan to sit for this exam in a few weeks...perhaps my thoughts will change.
1/21/03: Hassan from Pakistan says: I do think that exam price is high and questions have been extended from 60 to 90 all of a sudden even when the exam objectives haven't changed but I think this very Certification is worth it at the moment.I am planning to take this exam in a couple of weeks...Pray For My Success.
3/4/03: Flint from Memphis says: I passed it in 25 minutes.
7/1/03: CJ Charles from Nigeria says: I have it on the 16th of this month. By God's grace i'll make it.
2/20/04: Babatunde Owoyemi from Kaduna says: please i need the detail price for all your certification i'm a graduate of electricalelectronics eng.
5/2/04: Hamid Bari from Toronto says: The fee is too high for Planet3Wireless' certification. Student like me has to think thousand of time before preparing for the certification. Planet3Wireless should reduce the fee to other certification.... Also... there should be some free voucher(s) or discount voucher(s) from Planet3Wireless on some occasions.
11/1/05: ali hassan from sudan says: i wish to pass the cwna exam ,but i don't now where is the best country to study the course? & what is the time required before entering the exam?
11/4/05: Drew from OH says: First of all, I totally agree with Planet3. They made a wise choice. They are weeding out the people that just take the exam to add it to their bag of tricks because it was easy and inexpensive. 90-min on a 90-question exam is not difficult if you know the material. Just study hard and study long, if not familar with the technology, and I garuantee you'll pass with flying color's in under 20 min. Keep faith ppl.
