Microsoft Pushing Back NT Exam Deadline to February?


12/8/2000 -- MCPmag.com is reporting that Microsoft is considering extending the deadline for three key NT 4.0 exams: 70-067 Server, 70-068 Server in the Enterprise and 70-073 Workstation.

The short news brief, quoting unnamed sources, says that the new deadline under consideration is February 28, 2001. It suggests that the reason for the extension is because testing centers are having a tough time accommodating the high number of candidates who want to schedule the tests before the deadline.

12/8/00: Anonymous says: This is something that I have for long being willing that microsoft bring into effect.I attained an mcse status after completing all my six exams which included NT Server4.0,workstation4.0 and the server in the enterprise on the 22nd of september but up to now I have not been able to get a job because of lack of experience. At the moment I need get a job work for sometime before I upgrade myself. I feel there are a couple of mcse's out there who are in a similar situation as me so it will be a great news to us when the deadline is estended as it will give us more time for to prepare for the exams.
12/11/00: Anthony says: I beleive that Microsoft should not eliminate these tests because WINNT is still and will be for a while in widespread use.
12/13/00: Hanif says: I dont really believe in this elimination of the NT track exams. I assure you that the majority of people are gonna stick around with NT 4 for at least a couple of years to come. What this elimination is actually doing is making job hunting tougher for recent MCSEs like myself who are told to have some experience b4 applying anywhere. By the time you gain whatever necessary experience you are the told that your qualifications will soon be outdated! A catch 22 situation really.
