4/17/2002 -- IBM has launched four new/updated WebSphere certifications:

• IBM Certified Solution Developer - IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer for Windows, V4.0.3
• IBM Certified Specialist - IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer for Windows, V4.0.3
• IBM Certified Enterprise Developer - IBM WebSphere Application Server, Advanced Single Server Edition for Multiplatforms, V4.0
• IBM Certified Specialist- IBM WebSphere Application Server, Advanced Single Server Edition for Multiplatforms, V4.0

As of April 15, exams for the above certifications were made available worldwide. Information on the requirements for each can be found here.

In other IBM news, the company has retired several IBM VisualAge for Java Certifications, and through May 15 is offering a free version of one of its core WebSphere exams. More information on both of these developments can be found through the link above. - B.N.
