11/20/2000 -- Computer Reseller News (CRN) is reporting that Dell will soon offer a certification for its network of Dell hardware service providers.

According to an article published on the CRN Web site, the certification will allow providers to use a Dell logo to show that they are a "trusted partner." Dell announced the program last week at Comdex Fall 2000.

According to CRN, Dell counts between 400 to 450 service providers as members of its Service Provider Direct program, a combination of training, marketing and support services. Dell expects that more than 50 percent of the members to seek the certification, CRN said.
