Beta for Cisco's Updated CID Exam To Open Nov. 27
11/17/2000 -- Cisco recently announced that the beta for its updated Internetwork Design (CID) exam (#640-520) will take place from Nov. 27 to Dec. 15.
Registration for the exam begins the same day the beta opens (i.e., no early registration allowed). If you plan to take the test, Cisco recommends that you register as close to the first day of availability as possible due to a limited number of seats. Candidates must register through Prometric by phone only. The exam will cost $25 U.S.
According to Cisco's Web site, any individual who passes this beta will receive credit toward the CCDP Routing and Switching certification track.
Cisco has yet to announce when this exam will officially go live, replacing the current version of the CID exam (#640-025).
