LPI To Offer Half-Price 101 Exam at Linux World N.Y.
1/23/2002 -- The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) recently announced that it will offer its 101 exam for $50 half the normal price at Linux World New York.
Attendees can sign up to take the exam on Jan. 31 or Feb. 1 at the Jacob Javitz Center, Room 1E04.
The discounted testing is being sponsored by IBM. According to LPI, O'Reilly will give the first 100 candidates a free copy of its book "LPI Linux Certification in a Nutshell," which can assist candidates with LPI's other Level 1 exam, 102.
Candidates must pass both 101 and 102 to become LPI Level 1 certified. The organization also now offers Level 2 certification; the two exams that make up this level were released late last year.
