11/4/01: Atif says: I have come to know through some sources that oracle 8 DBA track will expire in march 2002. I have recently started preparation of 8i DBA exams. Firstly tell me about this nows that oracle 8i will expire in march. Secondly is there any available course outline of oracle 9i DBA track (Not beta Version) if yes please tell me the source. At last please guide me in the matter, which is better for me a) Get oracle 8i DBA certification and then upgrade with 9i. b) Directly get oracle 9i DBA certification Hoping for a favourable advise and quick reply, please.
11/11/01: Becky says: Atif -- Most of the exams related to the 8 track will retire in March 2002. However, the 8i track will not. Oracle does offer training for all tracks. For info on whether to choose 8i or 9, see our Oracle columnist Damir Bersinic's latest "SELECTions" column (choose columns from our left-hand menu, then SELECTions -- it will be in that list) -- Becky Nagel, Web Editor, CertCities.com ([email protected])
