Novell Certificate Program Launches
10/11/2001 -- Novell announced yesterday that it has officially launched its new Specialist Certificate program.
The new program allows candidates to pass a single exam and receive a proficiency certificate in that specific area. Exams still count towards one or more full-fledged Novell certification titles.
According to Novell, the following proficiency certificates are currently available:
- GroupWise 6 Administration (Exam #50-665)*
- Internet Security Mgmt with BorderManager (Exam #50-650)
- TCP/IP for Networking Professionals (Exam #50-649)
- Desktop Management with ZENworks for Desktops 3 (Exam #50-662)
- Integrating Novell eDirectory with Windows NT (Exam #
50-644)*
- Integrating Novell eDirectory and Active Directory (Exam #50-663)*
- Directory and Database Integration Using DirXML (Exam #50-668)
*Indicates new exams for Novell's NetWare 6 track.
The Specialist Certification program is just one of the changes Novell announced for its certification program earlier this year. Others include a streamlined Master CNE curriculum and integration of CompTIA exams (click here for more).
