MOUS Project 2000 Expert Exam Cancelled
8/15/2001 -- Nivo International, the organization that runs the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification program for Microsoft, confirmed to CertCities.com yesterday that it has cancelled plans for a Project 2000 Expert Exam.
Bruce Reemsnyder, Nivo's senior director of strategic accounts, told CertCities: "There were both technical and business reasons for not proceeding."
For months, the MOUS section of the Microsoft Web site has stated that the Project 2000 Expert exam is "in development." As of this writing, the site does not state that the exam has been cancelled.
R. Neal Elliot, a MOUS Master from Newfoundland, Canada who is also certified in Project 2000 Core, found out that the exam was cancelled on Monday. He called the decision a dissapointment:"It would have been a wonderful opportunity to force myself to learn more about [Project 2000]," he explained.
The Project 2000 Core Exam was not effected by this decision.
